may I suggest the Malekko vibrato. I love it. Great warbly lofi. I do have to say that I'm working on modding an ehx small clone to change the depth switch to a kill dry switch. I think I read somewhere that the malekko is a small clone's wet signal clone. So we'll see how it compares.

I miss my Malekko Vibrato, I really do. It sounded best, IMO, at 12v, but I couldn't spare a power output. I'll probably pick up another one some time, or maybe try the Diamond Vibrato.

That Malekko sounds really awesome. My original idea was to get an old warped record effect, so either LF7 -> vibrato or vice versa, then put those both through a loop so I can kick them on at the same time. The malekko seems very fitting. Thanks!

I had hoped the Instant Lo-Fi Junky would fit that criteria, but apart from the Strymon Mobius and HEXE Mesuline, I don't know of anything that can cover the degraded sound with a little warble and vibrato. A more versatile—but more expensive—alternative to the Malekko is the Mid-Fi Electronics Pitch Pirate Deluxe. I have one and love it. There is also the Holowon Tape soup. I've never tried it, but it sounds pretty cool.

Now that you mention it, I used to have the regular Pitch Pirate a while ago - completely forgot! Sounded great but a bit overwhelming in the feature department. I'm a simple beast, easily distracted by several switches and knobs (TWSS). The Pitch Pirate Deluxe does have a mix knob which would be mighty useful. Great recomendation, thanks!
The mix knob is essential, IMO. It allows for a variety of purely modulated dry signal and a little weird slapback effect that adds a layer of clandestinity over the top. I also use it as a clear digital delay. It has a thinness to the repeats no other delay I've tried has. It doesn't sound 'pretty' like a Strymon pedal or a 'mature' analog delay. It's more about rhythmical patterns with a lo-fi, bass cut tonality. The six knobs aren't annoying in the least. Once you figure out the sweet spots (doesn't take long), moving between them is a breeze. Definitely a huge surprise and I'm glad I invested in it.

I feel like this is some sort of computer game quest, some illogical combine x with y will take e to the next level. I will continue to work with it. But even though it's just noise it requires lots more dedication than pretty music. I am on a remote island on the other side of the planet from my comfort zone. Next stop: getting the beats more focused.

Nova's going stereo out to the Fender Blues Jr. and the Hartke. Blues Jr.'s running a little bit of reverb and set to be really midrangey, the hartke set for my bass EQ curve (basically scooped centered on 500hz).

Thought that was an iPad. Seems like you could make some cool sounds with that setup, from what playing around I've done with a couple of apps on other people's iPads there's some neat stuff for simple music there.
