Now THAT looks like fun!!!!

I love your board!!!!! and hate that you rarely post pics of it!!!!

thanks! The RRR kinda just feeds back instantly in a...feedback loop..., but I use it with the Disaster Transport Jr. as an instant extra trails/oscillation button. The Elements becomes an awesomely controllable simple synth, I love it If you're cheap like me, ammo crates are even better than wood pallets or whatever 'cause they come with sweet lids.

I wish my OCD would let me be cheap
What do you use the rosin for you sly bastard?
For my bass VI/Thunderbolt Buddha. I aligned the bass saddles so that either the high or the low-low A strings can be bowed individually or together. It's kinda awkward because I need a longer strap, but it can be done standing up as long as you bow within a certain section. If you bow right at the point of contact on the saddle it sounds horrible, in a good way...overall it's easymode drones. If you sound like a little kid who just got a violin, just throw some fuzz and verb on, no problem! As with the rest of the guitar, it looks like hell but somehow manages to function. And it is intonated

That's awesome!!! Our guitarist does alot of bowing live and i've been pondering how to build a bass for bowing. I will probably just pickup one of those skinny stand up electric basses and reteach myself since I haven't played one since high school, which was many many moons ago...

I haven't ever tried any bowing with either guitar or bass, I played upright in highschool as well but in a completely bluegrass context any pointers? oh and I have a new board I will get pics of so as not to completely derail the thread

oh it is, doing some loops today pretty much have the FM4 set up with synth settings and the 4545 into the pitch factor is ridiculous fun. I am relatively confident there are a few decent guitar tones in there too
working on throwing crappy cell video on youtube now
and that switcher is flipping awesome on the eventide dude thanks again

I've never done it with guitar strings, but you have to use flatwound bass strings if you wanna get a decent sound and not shred the bow. To keep it wieldy I use a 1/2 size violin bow that I bought online from a Chinese beauty supply shop for $5 Use strings that are sized so that they'll still be a bit floppy when tuned to the pitch you want, or it'll be a pain in the ass to get them moving without using the entire bow...stroke, or whatever it's called. Even though the finely-crafted 2x2 neck is fretless, I use a huge brass slide for maximum glissando.
