They also sell a single 145 gauge high-tension string designed to tune below B (i'm thinking F#). I'm having a hard time resisting that one.


I had DDTs on my G&L before I traded it, and they held D standard pretty well with the .105 set. Didn't feel excessively high tension either, and they didn't die immediately unlike most DR strings.

Light picks, heavy gauge strings, high action, raise the pickups to just below the strings on the top frets.

I used to play VERY heavy handed.
