Just finished a tutorial on CSS that took all fucking day because what they asked me to do was so bullshit. My uni is great* and actually adds instructions that will break the website you're working with on purpose to see if you can figure out whether the actual syntax you used was wrong or the elements you added make it break. I wouldn't mind it so much but the text they gave us is so shit you can never find the answer without plumbing the depths of the internet.

Need to go stick my head in a keg or something.

*Extreme amounts of sarcasm

yeah, hitting one awesome chord when the rest of the band goes through the whole chromatic scale in various major and minor derivations is an idea which would totally work :D

it might soundlike a bad thing, but the part is some great piece of composing i'd say, it really flows greatly... i'm just finding it hard to cope with it... but i'm working on it ;)

monkeydancer wrote:This is a nice method for composing melodies I got taught by a great music teacher:

1. Write the chords out on a stave with the notes as empty circles (like an o), with a decent amount of space between them
2. Fill in the chord tone you want to play from each chord to form a basic melody
3. Add 'filler' notes between the chord tones to make the melody more interesting

Hope it helps! I find the visualisation of the chord tones really helps me, even when I KNOW what the notes I'm looking for are it's nice to be able to see it on the page.

thanks, mate... might try it

when i'm done with it, it will kill, i'm going to take care of that

I hate auto flush toilets. Why must you flush 4 times before I'm done. Rude.

god damn cougarlife.com commercial. Normally, I don't mind shitty ads, but they changed the words to Hot Child in the City(which IS a great song) but that gets stuck in my head unfortunately not with the original lyrics.

Just on a different note, I looked up the song. Holy shit, that's a man.

I'm stuck with a lot of textbooks that nobody will buy back. None of them are things I will ever study again, so it is even more useless.

Last week my exhaust fell off my car, today as I was leaving work and girl hit me going about 50 mph in the Staples parking lot. Fucked up my front end. My manager offered me a raise last week, but the district manager won't authorize it, I'm making a measley $7.65 and I have to find a new place to live but can't really afford anything except for 1 apartment complex that has had 9 murders this year and close to 30 break ins.

This is a tragedy.

I'm watching a cruddy chick flick with my mom. And I don't really have any booze for the night. A beer, but yeah.

I'm going to wait the 90 seconds. Fight the power.
