Totally awesome demo, I love it! My favourite demos are when the weirdest settings are used musically, way to go Greigy!

You could have a pedal that did all forms of modulation but it would be digital requiring several different programs, like the Mobius, or a crazy huge analog multi-effect.

In the analog world all the modulation effects don't all go together, beyond not having controls that all relate... chorus and flanger go together, they use really low delay time, 10ms to 50ms kinda range, like the MN3007. They need different circuit setups though as flange needs a regen path and a choice of inverting the regen signal, plus different LFOs work better for flange vs chorus. A chorus with no dry signal is vibrato.

You couldn't do an analog delay with a MN3007 though, you need something like the MN3005 to get up to 300ms, but that chip wouldn't work well for chorus/flange plus the controls and clock required for an analog delay are different.

Phasers and vibes are based on filters, they're a different style of circuit, not based on BBD chips.

So you can have your modulation cake and eat it too but it would have to be digital to cover all the styles in one small pedal. (Not that there's anything wrong with that!)

Thanks Ryan!

I just have to say once again how much this loves fuzz and distortion. All other modulation pedals I own leave the distortion feeling somewhat thinned or dulled (sometimes only a little, sometimes a lot), but the Cosmichorus doesn't do that at all. Awesome!

It's still pretty heavily filtered and has an affect on the fuzz but it's a lot better than v2! *sheepish grin*

If you're not into chorus that much there's lots of flangers that do a nice chorus too, Electro Harmonix (Deluxe Electric Mistress, Electric Mistress) and Ibanez (FL9, FL99) stuff in particular.
What makes the Cosmichorus so cool is the fact that it's not really just a chorus / vibrato, it can do more unique sounds than that (judging from the clips I heard).
Just saying.
