I boxed this Rangemaster up last night


The tags are looking a little scraggly with flux and whatnot because I did quite a bit of soldering/de-soldering on this board but the end result sounds excellent!

It's nothing new. We've all seen it before.. Switchable input caps.. Middle position is stock, up position is doubled, down position is like 27n which is surprisingly fat! My favorite is the up position (10n).

Seeing this for some reason makes me really inspired to build on tagboard. It's basically what I do at work, but none of the stuff I solder makes cool sounds.

OK, here's goes nothing.... It started about 4 years ago, my obsession for incredibly unique, rare and amazing boutique guitar pedals, I have been through a lot and realized about a year ago that I should try and harness my passion into what I envision and what I would like to see in the pedal world. This is the result of a shitload of studying trial and error and luck lol this is my first main prototype pedal, it's a pure rare silicon transistor based dual channel fuzz monster with seriously fucked up possessed oscillations, It can be used as a synth of sorts and so so much more! let me know what you guys think? thanks!

Yes it does, It is actually pretty accurate at measuring the voltage when you starve the circuit and in some modes it will jump at how hard you strike your instrument, It doesn't keep in motion like a VU but it plays a huge role in the whole fuckery of the machine. I have always wanted a big ass meter with a big ass fucked up fuzz!

lol I am so glad you like it! I have been very nervous about posting, that one is the prototype and the wiring is not neat but everything is solid and works perfectly I did a couple of other builds that went out to friends that were way neater but forgot to take gut shots Here are some more shots of it, in the main production I think I'm only gonna have one power source. there is also my pedal company name and logo plate on every pedal I make

Found a really cool engraving company in Toronto and they made it perfect!

intothegroove I love it but can I ask why it has two identical 9v DC inputs? maybe they could be consolidated? I'm guessing you did it that way to take advantage of the isolated 9v outs on some fancy power brick.

Thanks so much man When I first made the circuit it was only one fuzz with oscillation and I thought it wasn't deep enough so I made the same circuit again on the breadboard but added some bigger caps and it also had oscillation. the first fuzz has and input and output knob, transistor switch and oscillation range knob and switch, the second fuzz circuit doesn't have an input knob and transistor switch. So while I was messing around on the breadboards I decided to keep total separate inputs and outputs and I chained them into each other two separate pedals, when I did this I found that the separate oscillators from the separate circuits were way more creative in the sounds they produced so I kept them as separate pedals and the ability to change the order of them produces all kinds of different fuzzes and oscillations

I just kept them on separate power supplies for the prototype because I wanted to retain the same sounds, I could have joined the IN's and out's of each internally through the stomp switches but I wouldn't have the ability for a whole range of different things. As for the power I am going to just have one power adapter for both pedals lol it was just a hurried thing to get it built and make sure it worked like I had it on the breadboard
