Re: Let's see your AMP!
Excellent. I need a reliable gigging head for bass that I can also use for guitar. I figure it will probably do loud and clean no problem but it's great to see someone consider it part of their guitar tone. Have you ever tried guitar > vb-2 > 2x15? Eventually I'll get dedicated cabs but until I have more money and space I'll have to make due with one cab for both. I was thinking a 4x10 but I have had success running guitar through a 1x15 ss bass amp so maybe a 2x15 would be cool.

If your looking for a dual use head that is extremely versatile for a great price look no further. I paid 500$ for mine, which is basically a 3 channel (clean [ampeg style clean tone] clean w/ bright [fender cleans] and a dirty channel [medium - low gain marshally tones]) 225watt EL34 powered amp with FX loop, resonance and presence controls, and a wicked tube DI out. There's not much more you could ask for or have built in for a high power tube amp for a pedal user. I have tried the VB2 + 2x15 as well as VB2 + 4x12 and 2x15. For guitar using it just with the 2x15 lacks high end and some mid range punch but still sounds great, but pair it with the 4x12 and it sounds absolutely huge and tight. 15's do better as complimentary speakers in a guitar rig, they add on huge tone to 12's or 10's. BUT if you like a dark guitar tone (like I do) then using 15's by themselves is completely feasible.

Yeah, turned out really great. Knew exactly what mods I wanted on the amp but I thought long and hard about the stain options.

What if I told you I only had to give the guy a Boss Dr. Pad with a missing battery door and a Wilson Effects Lotus Drive for it?

I'm running both the Dunwich and Loucks together in the big setup. Then I have the Hovercraft and Ampeg GVT15H for the small setup. Basically have a clean pedal amp paired with a dirty amp for both setups and I like 'em all.
Only amp I've actually sold in the last year is my Orange OR15 which was replaced by the Hovercraft. Everything else is the same...

Haha, it changes, a lot.
I'm finalizing it now tho that the Loucks is here, will post all that soon in the pedalboard thread.
