I've owned this pedal twice. It's pretty great. The volume cleanup is pretty remarkable, as are the trumpet-y sounds. Haven't played another like this one.

Yeah, we thought we were hearing some interesting quasi-modulated / funkily-compressed sound in the low end of the fuzzed chords, but we couldn't tell if it was a YouTube artifact, or the actual sound of the pedal. But we heard it in several of the demos, so we're hoping it was the pedal.

I too think it is a great pedal. I own/have owned tons of fuzzes and this one is pretty unique amongst them. I don't know about crazy sounds but definately ones I have not heard elsewhere. And yes there are those artifacts.

Cool! Any chance you could post clips of it through a relatively amp, so we could have some reference? My bandmate plays a Vox AC30 - we don't need to hear a perfect match, but a set of clips with cleans vs mini-Bone toanz would be awesome.

No experience with Trombetta stuff but this description reminds me of the Basic Audio Zippy I tried in a tourbox. That thing is uniquely awesome.

I can try to post some clips..I don't know how soon though. I have a Hayseed 30 which should be pretty close to your Vox. I have a Zippy as well, though they both tout horn-like tones, I think they are pretty different.

Go for it. A friend of mine has a v1 and let me borrow it for a little while. It sounds good and has some unique sounds. I didn't think it was as crazy as the TGP guys make it out to be, I guess we have a little different view of crazy here. The Trombetta Tornita is the one I would really like to try.

I didn't get it to oscillate and I don't think it's supposed to. Like other people mentioned, the trumpet sound are really cool and it does a lot of odd intermodulation things.

If it could do ball-crushing, thunderous fuzz then I'd be all over it. But from what I've heard, it seems to be a splatty fuzz that kinda does trumpet sounds

I haven't called it the mini-boner in quite a few years. It was just short for Tromboner.

When I fist put it out, all the inquiries for the mini-boner said "mini-bone"
Then Fatback made the first mini video and called it the mini-bone. I took the hint :/

The demo's can go from very polished (Mike Hermans) to very rough. If you search "Bone machine" quite a few should come up.

I've had the Mini Bone V2 like the one on the video ^^^^ for a while.. I didn't like it, sold it. Then I turned to ss/bs mini.. that's when I get the huge boner. Dat bias knob is the jizzz ..

I only heard the Rockett WTF, which also is a Paul Trombetta Design, I'm not sure, it didn't have any balls to it for me, hit it hard and it just seemed to compress like hell, I guess this is one for the mellow Jazz guys out there (I love Jazz but not like that).
Same with the Keeler Kick, no balls whatsoever, nice and dynamic if you have a light touch but if you really dig in, no way.
I really wanted one of these Bone Machines and was planning to just order one but now I played the WTF I'm not sure anymore (also last time I checked the wait time was about 6 months or so).
Just my experience / opinion offcourse.

In my experience and opinion, there are plenty of pedals out there "better" than the mini bone. That pedal compressed the sound in a weird way. Plus I don't think any pedals worth 6 months of waiting period
