late april/early may state of affairs

Post by smallsnd/bigsnd »

hey duders,
i've been especially slow to respond to emails and stuff for the past 2 weeks for good reasons:

- i had a bike accident a week and a half ago which fucked up both of my arms a bit. the left one in particular - thought i had some acute nerve damage but now think it may actually just be a slight stress fracture (had a hairline fracture on that elbow just 2-3 years ago).

- last week i got stranded in nyc for a few days because of not-so-serious car trouble which has only compounded since i got back (because of mechanic incompetence).

i'm on the up and up though. hope everyone else is faring better!

Ouch sorry to hear that. Bike accidents are the worst. The best thing is to rest up and eat very healthy foods - it seems to speed up the recover and replenish your body with what you need at that moment. Hope you feel better duder!

That sucks, hope you're feeling better soon! I emailed you about a pedal a couple of weeks ago myself, but the delay has actually been good for me as I had some shit come up myself and buying cool stuff isn't a huge priority right now (sadly).

went to a clinic today and i'm fairly certain that it's not a break now at least. i think it'll just need a little time to heal up - got some steroids (TO GET JACKED!) and have been taking extra joint/bone supplements and ibuprofen. i'll live, but it's making building more or less impossible for the moment... typing isn't the best thing for me either so i'm taking it a little slow and just trying to catch up on a few emails at the moment. especially since of course (on top of everything else) i fucked up my back again last night moving some gear.

the car is another story altogether. ugh.

all that being said, there's big (positive!) shit brewing over here and i don't mean in my ass. details will come really soon, maybe another 2 weeks or so! in the meantime, i really appreciate the kind words of support - bad things usually come in threes so hopefully the last negative isn't too bad. :p

damn man, sorry to hear about the injuries, hope you heal up soon!

please tell me the accident didn't happen w/ a car... friend of mine had a nasty one of those a couple years ago... part of why i don't ride mine often and am nervous when riders are near me while driving...
