Choppy Trem

Post by Butch1970 »

Hey Folks!

I've been using an EQD Hummingbird II to get my choppy trem sound, especially after dirt. Is there anything else out there, perhaps the Tremolesence, that will also do the choppy thing but perhaps have a bit more flexibility?

I was playing around with my Randy's Revenge ring mod last night and was actually able to get some good chop, but didn't try it side-by-side with the Hummingbird.

I have never played a hummingbird, but I was interested in one for a while and the tremolessence cured my gas for it. In triangle mode with the depth and shape knobs cranked, you get a very choppy ramp trem that sounds very much like the hummingbird (to my ears at least). And there's always the square wave mode if you need more chop.

and it has the duty cycle adjustment so you can make it do tiny blips.

How about a simple trem pedal with a square wave mode?

TREMULUST... Depending on how fast you need it the TREMULUST has 2 trems with rate for each and one is a triangle and can be modulated and the other can either be square or triangle and you can blend the two and adjust depth and level... SOUNDS SICK!!!

Boss?

I had a gigfx chopper that was pretty cool. Had a sin squarewave settings and two modes where you could stack them.

And yeah, trumulust looks hawt.

No mention of the Diamond Trem? It has chop mode plus a pretty large feature set, sounds great too.

Copilot Polypus does choppy well. There's probably better out there, but I think it wins hands down in features vs price.

I like the Empress Trem's choppy capability :idk:

And its other features are way sufficient...
