CosmiChorus V3 switch pop

Tonight when playing, my switch was giving a pop.
I thought it was due to some of the pedals running before the CC, but when I cut everything off, I was still getting it.
I didn't notice it until I flipped the invert switch while tweaking and I got a very large pop.. but at that time, I was running a blunderbuss or timmy before it.
I can't remember which it was.

Is popping normal, or is it the power supply? I was using a onespot.

It's normal to sometimes get a pop with switching, anytime you have to move an audio signal from here to there there's a chance for a pop. You should find it only happens once, then the voltages sort themselves out and it switches quietly from then on.

The loud initial pop was the invert switch..
All of the other popping was the footswitch.
I pushed it multiple times in a row, and it popped each time.
I haven't hooked it up to my PedalPower yet, but I was thinking it was power supply.

I use a One Spot all the time with no problems but do you have another supplyto try? The Cosmi is nicely protected against switch popping in the circuit, it has blocking caps and pulldown resistors on the input and output plus relays are generally peaceful at switching.

Popping means there's a DC voltage in the signal that is having a hard time making the jump from one path to the other. Even when a pedal is protected against it it can still happen if there's something going on in the line, say a stray or leaking voltage from upstream or downstream of the pedal, even coming back from the amp.

True bypass switching is not a dead silent system either, there has to be some audible noise when the signal jumps paths, it's unavoidable without complicated digital dsp switching at perfect zero crossings. In my experience all my relay based pedals switch quietly with a nice soft click or plink noise but they might take a minute for everything to get settled before they're as quiet as can be.

Check it out a bit further, Adrian, and let me know what you find... I could try new caps in your pedal although I've never had to do that before...

Thank you for the info.
I was using a daisy chain.. and it may have been the fault of another pedal.
The reason why I asked about it was because it was so silent, except for last night.
I will isolate the pedal, retry, then try the chain again.

By the way, the CC is unbelievable. It is by far and beyond the best chorus I have ever tried.. and I have tried quite a few.
