Anyone use an Ibanez BB9?

These seem like a great idea, in theory. But I can't find a decent demo anywhere and I was hoping someone would have some real world experience and answer the eternal question, "is it worth it?"
Seems like it would be an awesome general tone thickener, but I have a comp I don't mind for that, so is it worth replacing a comp over? Could I use both at once for super phat ass results?

I had one for a minute... The one I got from the Pawn Shoppe had previously been damaged and only had one screw holding the base plate on so it started cutting out when I would stomp on it... Other than that I thought it sounded pretty good stacked with a Muff or some other Fuzz... I am not going to try and compare it to a TS cause I could give a shit but it was pretty thick and clear and you had to turn the Gain almost all the way up before it started to get crazy... If I can find another one around for about $50 I'd get it again for a utility pedal that stacks well with others...

Ha ha! yeah that's true. Yeah I'm not fussed on the gain/TS aspect, just purely to make shit sound...thicker. If it has a nice clear patch though, sounds like it could be the go. Cheers dude.

Anyone else got 2c?
