i am going to throw my hat in the ring and say get something akin to a Fender Bassman or what I have a Music Man HD 65/130. Older amps but around the 400 -500 price range and sound fucking awesome on either bass or guitar. I found one here in oregon for 600.00 for both the head and the cab. Have not looked back since.

I would totally get down with a bassman stack for $600. there's a band I like that plays one of those. I think a friend of mine actually has one I could try.

I think now I realize you were talking about the musicman amp haha. Never played one but my friend had a combo by them he liked (definitely a back breaker)

Sell the Sunn, and GK cab. Buy a Peavey for guitar, which will be like a $100, then you can buy/save for a lighter big cab for bumpin bass.

yes I do, dono. I wouldn't consider it a light amp though. and with a 4x12 it's not tiny, you asshole. yba1a into a dietz sounds great. the traynor wants 8 ohms, I give it 4.

+1 for musicman. get a 150 combo and a much heavier guitar. carry one in each hand for balance and shove your pedals in the back of the amp and your guitar case. one trip, done.

I mean, 370's aren't thaaaaaaaat heavy...

But, actually, on topic, ever looked into Acoustics? The old ones are really amazing on both bass and guitar. My friend's 140 isn't heavy at all, and is pretty damn loud. Plus, usually incredibly cheap.

This is true but I'd only have to carry one box, and I think they come with casters or you can put em on easy

acoustics do sounds great on bass and guitar. one of the best tones ive heard was a 140 (or some small model) into an ACC 6x10.

i think mudfuzz is the most right. and sometimes you just gotta carry shit. but then you dont get to shop for a new amp, which is the real point.

also, i use a 2-wheeler to move my cabs too. not a fold up one, though. my cabs would bust right through that. you think i could get one of those fEarful geniuses to build me 2 4x15s loaded with kappalites?

That foldup handtruck is rated for 150lbs, which is plenty for *most* 2x12+head...and some halfstack+heads...and any combo amp, even a JBL-loaded Quad Reverb.

my cabs are probably only 100#, but i like having pneumatic tires. for stairs and whatnot. my shit gets beat up. i actually should get my cabs truck-bed lined. they are untolexed dietz pa mains. 2x15 (x4). but for a single half stack rig, that dolly should work alright. if i had a smaller halfstack setup, i'd think about getting a 1" ratchet and run a strap around the head, cab and dolly. instant tiltback combo.
