Yeah I thought that was just a clever photo trick, and then I realized that was the ACTUAL pedal. Look forward to hearing out it sounds, but its probably not something I'll ever grab. The prices are kind of ridiculous, but I didn't realize they're Australian.

Just make a good enough sounds (or even amazing) to it and make a badass face & knobbies on the box, you're all set for a higher market and jack up the price around $300 or more (typical decent delay pedals these days)!

That being said, I'm returning my DTSr and back solo on my precious RE-20 and will be waiting for the holy grail of a good-nasty and wobbly delay (could care less of it being digital) to come..

infanem dude says he's coming out a with a less that $200 multitap pt2399 thing this year.

Yeah a little pricey but I wouldn't chalk it all up to greed.

The Australian is very strong currently and shipping prices from Australia are probably a bit prohibitive.

sorry, i was paraphrasing, he did not say this year, he said (on facebook):

"In working on Devi's Console delay, I discovered that the PT2399 can make very nice, low noise sounds if one strays from the datasheet. Perhaps a compact, <$200, "multi head" style Infanem delay is in order?"

This is pretty interesting.

There's not a whole lot of straying from the datasheet with PT2399 delays. Everyone basically swaps some cap values, throws in a buffered blend, and maybe some modulation or tap tempo and calls it a day. No that I don't like these pedals (in fact I probably like them a LOT more than most), but they all basically sound the same and I'd like to see something different.

I personally love my Anamamateosososja Echo from Subdecay. The DBD sounds great, as does the Montavillian. I am a fan of the PT2399.

Pardon my ignorance and lack of knowledge, about the Disc Echo.. is it gonna be like another Echorec (*yawn) with the multi tap or something?

I'm not too familiar with components.. what pedals out there using the pt2399s and what distinctive differences?
