I love that Jaguar bass. It's hard to make a black guitar look bad. It's annoying that everything looks so good in black.

I realized this cab would be perfect for elevating my record player. Amps as furniture.
But now I want some sort of reverb or tape delay to stack on the head.
Maybe I'll try to build something for it. Unnecessary GAS over something I want purely for aesthetic purposes. Well, it needs reverb anyways.

Tube amp reverb units are sick. I must have one some day. Your turn table is cute.

Man, I know they are sick. It would sound killer through this amp, which desperately needs reverb IMO. Unfortunately there are so few tube reverb units out there and the ones I can find are all hella pricey.

The head only has one output. :(
And the cab doesn't have a parallel option. So mo' cabs isn't a realistic option with this setup.

I know, it's such a ball ache. Someone like VHT or Jet City needs to tap into the tube reverb units and have them produced overseas to bring the price down. Right now you've basically got vintage Fender, discontinued and rare Matchless, Dr. Z, and maybe a couple of Orange/Matamp 'verbs. I'm sure there are a few others I'm missing, but they're all expensive.

Found this one cheap enough that I was comfortable impulse buying it.

it's a good day when that happens. I think both of my current most played guitars were impulse buys haha.

1964ish Sunn Spectrum II and 1966 Sunn Sceptre 2x12. Middle cab is a 1970s Sunn Beta 402 4x12 Offset cab.

How do you like the Sceptre cab? I saw one for cheap recently and thought about picking it up.

I know this is 2 weeks late, but:

The Sceptre cab is weird. It's 1/3 Open Back (Middle).

It lacks low end.

I love it.
My favorite cab I've ever owned.

Of course, I've probably very vain and like it for what it is.
A 1966 Sunn Sceptre 2x12. Incredibly rare, and great for Post-Rock. ;)
