Mostly yes, I'm guessing this one's a clone of the Zvex Woolly Mammoth, a bassplayer I know had one and I never got such cool sounds (for guitar) out of that one though but then again maybe I just didn't know how to work with it.
good deals with: the_brow, phantasmagorovich, alexsga, DarkAxel, goroth, The Wood Wizard, Tendollarcat, vbps, monkeydancer, intothegroove, Brobee

I'm with the topic starter on this one. They can bite my ass too!

I am obsessed with pedal building, and have made a bunch of them so far, and am a frequent visitor of the DIY forums out there, and from what I have seen, and personally experienced, everybody gets through the 1590A phase. I crammed an Octavia, the Tycobrahe version with the transformer, into a 1590A. It worked awesome, but then I had problems every now and then with it. Either it was jacks that had to be lower quality to be so small, or was it the DC jack once or twice, then I would turn the pedal upside down with my foot because it has no point of balance being so small on rehearsals, I mean...it's just not worth it. I made a Mooer sized MXR Phase 45 as well, and some others too.

Now I'm more in the bigger the better vein of things. That goes with time I think, because as time passes I tend to use less and less pedals, so I think I could get through with just 3 or 4 now. I especially hate when a fuzz is small, I mean man, when I hit the fuzz I want it to be one button on the ground and I don't even want to look towards the ground I just want to step on it and feel the sweet massive tone [so a regular sized Fuzz Face is a god sent] I don't want to fear whether I am going to move the pedal or it;s knobs. And building it big really allows you to use better hardware on a pedal, more durable stuff. It has been a massive relief for me to tell you the truth.

Building them small leaves so little room for the graphics to be interesting and attractive. Kinda like looking at your iPod screen instead of holding a vinyl cover in your hands. I love pretty-ing up my pedals, it's the part I like almost as much as tweaking the right sound out of them.

And from a designers point of view as well, cramming up stuff in so little space cannot sound good. I mean you put things close and you end up having oscillations, parasitic capacitance, hum, hiss, and whatnot. Sola Sound knew what they were doing.

Cheers
