Nice! I have that same drawer thingy next to my computer, but it's gray instead of white.

Could anyone tell me their thoughts on the Fender Frontman 212r. Im looking to move on from my Marshall avt50 buck cant really afford tube as of now even though i would do terrible things for an orange or electric head with an emperor cab.

You can probably find a used Bassman for around the same price as the Frontman. Or even a Traynor YBM head and cab (they sound AMAZING)

and if it were it would be a lot better, no?

its not the hip hop listening that is sad, it is the no more music making. he even sold his drum set! :grumpy:

he started banging drums and dragging around a mini acoustic when he was 4 and now he is 14, i am sure he will get the music itch again someday.....

with any luck, scratching tht itch might lead him to making some hip hop. there is a lot more uncharted territory in hip hop than there is in rock.

The guitarist in my band plays a fender frontman 160 (or is it stage 160? can't remember) any way, its loud, and sounds awesome. to my tastes, it sounds better than my other friends DRRI. YMMV

decided to take pics finally and post my guitars and amps.

first up i have my 2x12 ampeg reverberocket - replaced the stock speakers with some green berets from WGS - great speakers! they have the sound i was going for and im happy i got em. ( i still have the stock ampeg / eminence speakers if someone needs a pair for a project or something - they are in great condition)

Image

second we have a vintage 4x10 fender bassman ten, early/mid 70s. sounds absolutely amazing. i would use it more often if it was a tad louder... might be the tubes, might be the speakers. one of these days ill figure out how to get a little more out of it.

Image

any questions about either - let me know and ill do my best to get you an answer!

I've been looking into the Reverbrocket, I love rounded and sparkly clean Fender tonez, does the Ampeg break up a little too much for that?

No..
Ampeg clean is a bit different, the tone and reverb is to die for.

The Reverberocket is one of the best amps ever made.

i think the reverberocket actually has a great clean tone.

it doesnt sound like fender though, my bassman is (seriously) clean from 1 to 10. the ampeg breaks up eventually but its got plenty of room for cleans.
