Cheaper substitute for MICRO POG?

While I like their ana echo and the boost, I'm still not convinced yet about their pitch box/pure octave, anyone tried it before?

I've got a pitch box and while it doesn't sound amazing it works well in the effects loop of other pedals and seems to track well too.

I like both of the Mooer's quite a bit. They're not a big part of my sound though. If I used them front & centre, I might want something with more tonal control.

i bought a pitchbox on a whim(added to cart last minute) as i was more interested in the flangermistress...

really like the pitchbox for my octave up/down needs. i dont really have any issues with tracking.
it doubles as a nice faux chorus too.

it's weird that not many companies making pog clones out there, I bet it'll sell real well if they do it correctly. Despite my big love to the old dmm and the hazarai that I had few years back, I'm not a fan of ehx's, especially their QC. And the micro pog is too expensive and a bit too big for my pt-mini, but dat shit sounds good

Seriously. This is your only option. Micropog sounds awesome and nothing else that is cheaper comes close.

That's what I use mine for. Have lower octave at max with a hint of upper and choir and it just sounds like... I dunno, awesome.

You're not gonna find digital polyphonic octavers that do octave up much cheaper than the MicroPOG...I tried...now, if you don't mind analog, you can get a Mutron Octave Divider clone from BYOC for like 70-80 (Can't remember.). You just need to know how to use a soldering iron and stick components in a PCB...or know someone that does. I think T-Rex makes a "clone" of the old Octave Divider, as well. I've heard good things about it.

But if you really want a POG, just wait on a used MicroPOG. I got one from GC in the used section for 120, still had the box and literature, even all the DVD's.

If you want cheap, the Behringer US600 is polyphonic when you're in pitch shifter mode (but not in harmony mode), and it can do 1 or 2 octaves up and down. The guitarist in my covers band uses one all the time, and it actually tracks really well. And the balance knob acts as a wet/dry mix. The only thing you can't do with it is have both an octave up AND an octave down at the same time.

I know that people tend to shit on Behringer, but the shifter is actually a pretty good pedal.
