I played Bioshock a long time ago - do I need to play the second game before Infinite?

Nope. The story line of infinite is completely separate from bioshock 1 & 2. Bioshock 2 was made by a different team than bioshock 1 & infinite--and isn't as good as the others imo

Number 2 was a bit disappointing. It was still really good, but disappointing.

Agreed, one is cool, two not so much, and it doesn't matter at all if you aren't familiar with either of them before you play Infinite.

I watched the ending last night... wowie wow... definitely one of the coolest most interesting stories. Awesome looking game too, really well done.

I've had enough FPS games for awhile now though, ready for Dark Souls 2!

they added a new island with new places & quests & it ends with him taking on the first of the dragonborn. it was released back in december but i totally missed it until the sale ad when signing in recently. i'd already done the dawnguard addition and moved on to hitman.

Ah right, the Dragonborn DLC hey? I haven't watched any of it.. I'm looking for the ultimate Skyrim walkthrough on YouTube, something that goes right from the beginning to the end in big videos with commentary that's not annoying... I'd watch it for a whole month if I could find that.

you should look up the game informer mag w/ skyrim on the cover. they did a little fun game between two of its main developers to see which guy could finish the main plot fastest. i don't remember exactly but it was something disgusting like two hours...

Dark Souls took a lot of hours of my life. My wife and I went too the beach and I brought my playstation with me and sunk 50+hrs in a week.

I'm totally playing Dragonborn right now. Pretty cool, even though I feel like a lot of the coolness is lost on me since I never played Morrowind. At this point I'm just looking to beat all the main quests in the game, take on all the dragon wizards (dunno what they are called, but the ones that appear at the dragon shrines and give you the cool masks), find that rad underground dungeon, and get all the achievements (which may or may not be incredibly difficult).

I think my brother is done with Bioshock Infinite, so hopefully he will do me a solid and let me borrow it next week :!!!:

if i had to name an all time favorite video game i think it'd be morrowind. cheesy but that game changed me. that does make it tempting that it's apparently a recreation of some of that area...
