NEW MEDICINE
They've reformed the original lineup (even after Brad Laner said they wouldn't), new album out soon - this is the first single.

Man, I hope this isn't an April Fool's prank, because that would be just plain cruel...
I'm more like a mids-ist than a bassist.

This song is fucking bonkers and I'm so excited to have Medicine back. Would love to see them live, and hopefully Laner will be using his 4-track for his fuzz!

I like it but have to admit some disappointment, still. They do a really good job at the west coast high-psychedelic pop Goffin-King sort of writing, but I don't hear any of the anthems or stun-gun fuzz-pop blasts of the first two albums. Oh, and Brad has certainly moved beyond the industrial-ish fuzz of the early albums. Sounds kind of like he used that MBV Wire cover as a jumping off point with lots of filtery sounds.

I should give Brad's album a few more spins. Correction, albums. Another on Google Music that I hadn't known of before. Mechanical Forces of Love, eh, not so much.
Brad's bio generally starts with Savage Republic. I'll think of him that way and chalk that video up to a youthful indiscretion.
