to the dismay of many on this forum, it is indeed a simple compressor. in fact it's a small little circuit i've been working on that will be part of another project. the idea to release the compressor on its own has a lot to do with working out the quirks of the circuit, making sure it sounds great its own, making sure it'll offer consistent results during production.

it's a fet compressor with a volume control, input pad and ratio control. the design isn't final yet, but i'm about to order some boards to work out the prototype.

you're all crazy, hope this helps dispel the shroud of mystery.

as for the other projects, you're enthusiasm makes me want to spill it all out but i just can't right now... partly to avoid disappointment, partly to enjoy seeing you squirm.

I can use a small and excellent compressor on my main board. and i know that anything FC does will not suck.

also, it could be a great gateway drug to the rest of the FC lineup for the more timid.
