As mentioned, stacking toob screamer variants is very meh.
I have a Catalinbread SFT that I usually place after some fuzzes (on bass) - it really adds bass and a degree of fullness to the Devi's that I have that tend to be very trebley, and anemic. But when I use it with any relatively beefy fuzz it all turns to farty mush. Still haven't found that realistic grindy toob transparent OD that plays well with the big fuzzes. (The SFT is realistic sounding, as long as you dont slam it with anything)
And as mentioned, EQ can be your best friend when it comes to dirt stacking.
Tried the regular Fuck after my Fuzz War last night at a loud volume. The FW is pretty damn trebly and the Fuck took a good bit too much high end to make them fit well together in a song. That said, with the crackle mode engaged the noise was glorious!!! Fucking crazy shit coming out of the speakers. Never really understood the use for that mode until last night. Incredible

been stacking my black arts toneworks LSTR -> Pharaoh then into the EQD monarch a lot lately. I set the level to everything to just a bit above unity and barely any gain on the monarch with slight treble/bass boosting. it makes awesome wild kinda glitchy oscillations after a few seconds of sustain. pretty goddamn sick sounding even at fairly low overall volume. The monarch alone like this just gives me a pretty mild overdrive for the cleanz. I also put the whetstone between the fuzz and the overdrive and it seemed to fit a lot better overall
