Cool. Fucked around with an accordion for a while and I hated it. No hipster music for me

My girlfriend has an accordion, and she also gave me her old semi-working one. There's definitely hidden potential in that thing for drones, but micing it in a convenient way is a pain in my ass.

I love the accordion. Good score. I second the contact mic.

yeah, accordions own. they're like an acoustic wall of sound, but portable. like mini organs w/ two octave ranges. after about a day, i can say that learnign how to play one is gonna be like re-learning the piano and/or hand independence, cuz playing a melody over a 2 chord waltz thingy is currently beyond my abilities, but one hand working alone is fine

NGD? New Gasket Day?
A guy came by the shop I work at a few weeks ago to try some amps... with an accordion. It was pretty awesome. Surprisingly, compared against all the other amps, an old '65 Fender Champ sounded the best, with a 68 Super Reverb at a close second.

Oddly enough all of the amps we tried with accordion inputs sucked
