Cheers man. I get the benefits of porting, and I was most certainly going to dampen with some sort of foam/insulation, I was just trying to determine how relevant it might be for guitar purposes as bass requirements are generally more specific (in that there is no need for a guitar 4x12 to be any particular set of dimensions, it just worked out that way cause that's what jim marshall could make out of a sheet of ply at the time). I was also hoping to avoid having to calculate all the specifics of porting and cab size (there are ratios, not only for the porting but for the size of the box, speaker etc) as I'm generally shit with the math and at this hypothetical stage, trying to keep the project simple. Although it looks like that's where I might have to go with it, so if anyone knows the formulae behind designing bass cabinetry, lay it on me. I can do it if I sit down long enough with it. Just takes some time.
I was thinking of going w780mm (30.71") x h24" x d 16", so that width wise it matches my orange 2x12 (and my other 4x12) and I can stack them. The height and depth are then the same specs as the electric amps 1x15. For speakers at this stage I was thinking the warehouse 15", cause I'm pov, but also cause I have never heard a bad thing about them...yet. Open to other suggestions though. Will the extra width cause too much mud?

what do you guys think of the Gibson SG 60's tribute? I don't have an SG so that would be nice to add to my duo of LP and Flying V...and its also got P90's which i don't have on my other guitars either.

Also, I know this goes back a few eons (pages) but that es2 is just about the coolest most star wars looking pedal I've ever seen. It's worth it just to pretend your hitting hyperspace.

As far as speakers, I love my WGS ET65's. Amazingly well built and sound speakers for the money. I have the equivalent Weber's and they are almost twice the price but only marginally better IMO. As far as 15's though right now I have weber michigans and Eminence Delta 12LFA's, the michigans are guitar only speakers but they sound amazing at it, they fit right in behind the midrange of a good 12" and fill out the rest of the spectrum. The eminence are bass hounds, they will fill out your low end and have a really tight response, but don't produce a full range sound like the michigans, so you either love em or hate em.

I love the eminence Delta series speakers, but I do agree, great response and low end, and a very unique representation of the low end at that...they definitely need some conventional speakers to balance the low end. Ive been using a 4x12 of Delta Pro 12a for awhile now, and although it sounds great, I have come to the conclusion that those speakers would sound even better crossed with something like V-30s or Classic Leads or their higher watt Warehouse cousins the Liberator and British leads...been on my mind for some time...been toying with the idea of a 6x12 with 2xDelta Pro 12a in the bottom two, then the top 4 and X pattern of the Liberator and British leads and run that with a 4x12 of 2xDelta Pro and 2xLiberator in an X pattern. This way they will both get a pretty full range tone, but if the venue has limited stage space or for some reason I can only use one cab for the night I can just fire up the 6x12 and still get the same overrall tone with the 4x12.

Hmm just looked into them, kinda want to balance the 4.5k high range cutoff on the Pro 12a's with at least a couple of drivers that reach around 6k-8k, recently found awesome drivers that span 45 - 7k:
