Re: has anyone (other than devi) been through all the devi f
Let's see...
I've owned:
SG (so, TP and SM)
ND
DN
AE
VFM (switchable to SM)
BIT
Hype
And I've extensively used a friend's SPAE (Whammy in the FB loop is TIGHT), and Jared's old 90 is here at my house.
They're all pretty damned cool, honestly. What's odd is that I've owned all the TP variants, but I've always preferred the SM/VFM sound. And, the Hype on bass is fuckin' ballsy. My favorite "Synth bass" sound is just a SM with the control knob at 9 o'clock into a very short, modulated delay (used here: http://starcommander.us/track/in-regards). When I was in that band, I swear, I was ALL about the DE:FX, because they tend to be super...present? Un-subtle? Very obvious. Which was perfect at the time.
At the moment, I own none.

Hmmm, I've hit a good number of them.
Dark Boost
Electric Brown
LP
05/25
SM
VFM
Aenima
Never Drive
Destructo Noctavia
OK
Year of the Rat
GZ
33
Hyperion
Bit
Spectacular Aenima
Improbability Drive

My favorite is the Aenima, period, and it's not even close.
My next favorite is probably the VFM or the Bass Fuzz

Indeed. Back when Devi was raising money for some of her medical stuff, I offered her a stupid amount of money if she would make me an ID, and she agreed. I think MLC has it now.
edit:: It looked like this:

I'm pretty sure Devi painted that one herself.

Yeah, it was awesome. Although I will say that I think it's probably more awesome on guitar than on bass, it doesn't have a lot of low-end. Now that I'm getting more into synths, it would be really cool to run synth patches through it, but oh well.

Just bought this guy off ebay. Anyone that has had the pink E13 Torn's Peakers claims they're possessed... I'm excited to hear if it's any different than the ones I've played.

Re: has anyone (other than devi) been through all the devi f
i've played most of her pedals except some of the newer ones. the most useful to me have been the dark boost (for thin single coils like teles) and the silver crank (33). but my favorites have been her custom twins, where you could order crazy combinations that seemed to differ from merely chaining two singles together. i think there was some randomness to them. my favorite is an oscillating disaster fuzz into a regular disaster, which i call my double disaster. trying to control it can be like riding the giant waves off nazare.
