Fuzz ... A Movie...

Post by stephen sawall »

Here's a movie worth checking out ...

What do you think ?
The fact that Stephen appears from nowhere, is sentenced to death in an emotional public trial without anyone interfering at all and is then altogether forgotten as if nothing happened, is already suspicious.

As a pedal nerd I liked it because there are so many pedals in it and there are not really any other documentaries out there on the topic. However, it's really not that good, and a lot of the interviewees come across as douchey. Haven't seen it in awhile, I feel it was pretty dated when I saw it a couple years ago.

Same here. The dude that said something along the lines of "people buy fuzz to sell it later to get more weed."... especially douchey.

YEAH OKAY.

It's been a while since I watched that movie, but he's probably playing his Zim-Gar. Which was probably made by Teisco.

It's alright .... proroby review is accurate. It has several builders, a few collectors & a little history. I liked it ..... The Cry Baby clip is more like a advertisement.

The pickups vary wildly. Definitely something you wanna try before you buy. Spencer really likes the bridge pickup in his original one.

Watched the first part, and I really wanted to like it more but it wasn't that great. There were a couple of interesting things, but I didn't think it was put together well, it just felt like they had chosen bits of interviews at random rather than trying to make the whole movie flow and tell a story.

Just another name. Zim-Gar was the name used by the importer. Same basic guitar as lots of other Japanese imports.

I'll probably give this another spin but I remember watching this and wanting to never, ever buy anything from EHX again...
