A user named conky has had unpleasant experiences with Emperor. He's vowed to never purchase from them again. Essentially they shipped out the cabinet with the grill cloth misaligned and they wouldn't work with him on fixing it. Eventually he had to do it himself. He says the cabs are great, but their customer service is lacking. I know some have had pleasant experiences, but that's the way customer services work. People have faced absolutely dicks in a company where others have dealt with wonderfully communicative and charming representatives. What I'm saying is, poor customer service, if you want to call it that, is represented by both positive and negative experiences. In any business there should be no negative ones, but with someone like Samsung or Apple, you expect shit every now and again. But with Emperor and EGC, you kind of inherently expect the best of the best, since you're talking with people of similar calibre, taste, and passion, and the prices are high, thus eluding to high quality and craftsmanship, both on communication front and the product/service front.

always good to keep in mind..........high prices don't equate to craftsmanship at all.
the notion of "you get what you pay for" is something i value and look for....and appreciate......though it can be hard to come by these days.
hope your cab exp kicks ass with what you go for.

I vowed never to buy from them after Jim Marshall died and they made some insensitive comments about him on Facebook.

I'm not sure but I think the dick that said that isn't there any more. But still, I agree with you.

Yeah, it's unfortunate that that one guy over at Emperor had a habit of posting stupid shit on FB and giving people the false impression that the company. as a whole, consists of cocky, uneducated morons who like to rant online. It's simply not true. The rest of the dudes were busy working/building as usual that day when those comments were posted, that's their primary focus.

Anyway, I can assure you that's not how the guys generally conduct themselves or their business and one bad egg shouldn't represent an entire company's attitude. The Emperor crew is far more friendly and humble than their FB antics may suggest and they've worked hard to get where they're at today. Shit 75% of the crew (those actually responsible for designing and crafting their awesome products), knew nothing about that incident until they were alerted by others. The situation was then handled quickly and in a mature manner. Regardless, the damage was already done....

Thanks for the heads up on that. I decided to do a little research on the topic and read a thread about the whole debacle over at the Marshall forums. It made me change my mind on the whole thing - mainly because the guys on that forum come across as a mob of dogmatic internet tough guys. I did read the apology statement the owner sent out and I believe that it was sincere. I'm no longer boycotting Emperor, but it doesn't much matter because I have no money anyway.

Harmony Central also gave Emperor a really good going over. They can be a bit dramatic with their accusations. :p As can we all.

I don't get it. Are you saying Emperor fired Jim Marshall?! Or did they kill the guy who made the comments, and then fired him?
