Smaller and cheaper (not to mention simple to operate) than other pure loopers with great audio quality. I'm not sure what's to get?

I honestly don't use looping enough to warrant $400. I wanted something that had an analog drive-through and a really compact size, something I could dive into really quickly and not worry about. The Boss RC-3 and Digitech Jamman Solo are obviously excellent choices, but I just wanted a practise tool and a creative tool specifically for guitar use, so all the extra features, cost, and size weren't worth it for me. I think TC have tapped into a huge market with the Ditto Looper. I expect other companies will be kicking themselves that it wasn't them to first produce it, because frankly there isn't much you can do to improve it.

Yeah... I didn't mean to kinda take a dump on this thread.
Nice review and it looks like a good pedal. It just seems like I've heard so much about it compared to other new pedals and gizmos recently.
Anyway, I mean no harm!

Gave The Manhatten GC a call before going, apparently both people I spoke to had no clue what the ditto was. Jeez, I thought sales people were supposed to be knowledgeable with the items in their feild. Sam ash and GC, two major chains, both have employees with no knowledge of upcoming release of products related to their department. I find that a little bit saddening, why should I let you sell me something if you have no knowledge of other products in ur department? Idk, ranting, wanting the ditto too badly. :idk:

I was JUST having this conversation with my bandmates a couple days ago. I walked into my local GC and asked the guy at the accessories counter if they had any used expression pedals. His response was 'What's an expression pedal?'. I just stared at him dumbfounded.

And this isn't the first time I've had an experience like that at GC, either. I mean, i don't generally like to shop there because their prices are outrageous for the most part, but some of the used stuff isn't terrible, plus I'm not going to pay shipping on goddamn guitar picks. It's just really frustrating to walk into a place that's supposed to be geared (pun semi-intended) towards musicians and to have someone know practically nothing about a pretty big part of some musician's set-ups.

/off-topic rant.

On topic: I want this looper so goddamn bad it hurts.

I walked into this forum in order to see what loopers people liked, in line for my first and was not thrilled with the pricetags or selection my initial web search came up with...this looks PERFECT to me.

HAS ANYONE FOUND THEM FOR SALE ONLINE?

It's cool, man, don't worry. I know you meant no harm by it.

You could always bite the bullet and pay for shipping from someone like Andertons.co.uk or Thomann.de.

I pre-ordered mine here in Canada, just waiting for them to let me know it's arrived.

As a bassist I've wanted it ever since I've seen it. Wanted to try looper pedals but every other pedal out there broke the bank for me.

T.C. Electronics is a solid brand, too, so I'll definitely support them. (I'm a TC RH450 user)
