Re: <3 The Love Connection and TB Mega Thread <3
Thanks y'all.
Melvin Gibbs is my god damn HERO.
I had another songthing with the Halophaze but after listening to it 3 times I realized it was horrible. This one I can tolerate.
I got the black box, after waiting 4 years for a polished one (longer wait time) I switched over to black to save some $$$ and time. Oddly enough, the cramped knobs aren't a bother, I can adjust the speed knobs by foot very easily. And the design is ridiculously intuitive, after going through a decent handful of highly tweakerable phasers over the last year or two, this one is the easiest to dial in right away. Can't wait to get it into a full band mix, it really does that throb thing which I adore on bass.
Damn expensive though, holy poop. Finally something beat out the Frostwave I bought 5 years ago, jebus. I'm glad this one was worth the wait and money, It certainly helps that Ed is a very cool guy to work with.
Not sure what I've missed around here the last month or two. Time to listen to Warren Zevon and read old threads... I'll sleep when I'm dead.

Seriously. I am flat out AROUSED by that shit. When I feel my bass cabs undulating within and without a big ol' heavy guitar riff, I am OVERJOYED.

Ed is just awesome. I've talked to him numerous times on the phone and he's super passionate about what he does.
Did you get an expression pedal as well?

I didn't get the sexpression pedal, no. I really should dive into that kind of thing, but I never do. I haven't even owned a wah pedal in 10 years, haha. My feet are for knob fiddlin' mostly! And dancing of course. Always dancing.
Yeah, his wait times vary between 1 and 4 years, definitely not an impulsive buy type of thing. Honestly when I got onto the list for the Halophaze I wasn't really into phasers, I just figured "eh, what the hell?" since there's no deposit or anything formal.
I've since gone LOCO GRINGO over the whooshies, so the nearly 5 year wait was just right! It was almost... meant to be.

they are weird over there.
i have a buttload of pedals to sell and i think i'm going to have to do a damn membership. it's not the $20, it's supporting their dick-handery like when they got all nasty with Cuddles The Caner.

Re: <3 The Love Connection and TB Mega Thread <3
yah. it's a bunch of shit. mostly sorta bassy pedals. think i'm going to list my Mobby after i do a demo of it. it's a beast, but i can JUST fit both boards onto a PT-Pro if i don't use it, and that'd be all i'd give up. i like it a lot, but i don't know if i want to juggle 4 multi efx on one board. murrrrrr.
tentative layout =

think i'm going to swap the RRR (orange/purple second row thing with Melissa's face) for the Nimbus (top row, second to left) since i really only need one 'verb. then when the Source BEF 2 comes out i'll have enough room to put the Super Ego back on the second output. if Danno can jam the Brain Freeze into a vertical box i'll be able to maybe get a 2 spot bypass looper on there too. that... would be NEAT.
but wanna move some stuff to buy a second, audio only, ipad. and the H9 if Eventide ever gets it out.
woooooo! 2 outputs, 1 board, always wired up! YAY!

Is the JHV3 mod(s) worth doing? I've been thinking of sending my M5 in for switches and the audio tweak.
