yes please. i also want to get a Mutron Phasor cloned to try against my ever-faithful Small Stone.
Small stone rules, you should check out the Whetstone if you long for a super pimped out version of that fantastic phaser.
That said, I recently acquired a MuTron BiPhase for $650 (which is a goddman steal believe it or not!) and it's easily the best sounding phaser I've ever heard, far and away. Of course it's gigantic but I'm thinking it's just two of the standard Phasors paired up with multiple options on how to run 'em.
The Infanem Faye Sing is the only current production I know of based on a MuTron Phasor and it's pretty cool. I have the Faye's Her, the limited run BiPhase-ish offering from Infanem, dual Faye Sings, and it sounds mighty close to the BiPhase but not quite there. It has WAY MORE in terms of options and control tho....
I really wanted the Faye's Her, but I couldn't spare that kind of cash. Ken even said it himself, he couldn't in all honesty continue to make a pedal that cost so much. It's a real shame. Maybe he'll be able to do a Fairfield and reintroduce it with some tweaks at a more affordable cost a couple of years down the line.
nightterrors wrote:Currently? I don't have any cabs in my name, technically speaking. I've been using an Acoustic 410 and 80's Marshall 4x12 bass cab that are at the jam space the band I'm in shares (I don't like the sound of either cabs...) A new guy just joined our jam and said he has an 810 and 215 I can use if I'd like, and I believe a Mesa Bass 400.
Currently, I have the 98' Green Matamp Legend 140, I'm pretty set on getting a 75' Or120 from this guy in my area, I've got him Down quite a bit now in price.
We are playing in a tuning my buddy sort of came up with as of last night, it's pretty similar to A Standard I guess you could say.
Definitely decided on the 810-415 combo. Green on one, orange on the other.
Dude, that would slay small babies and adults alike.

this was nearly dead on.
The LED might be consuming more current then the actual fuzz pedal
That is the epitome of Doom. Pointless and over-the-top, but so fucking awesome at the same time. Life is full of pointless endeavours. Not everything we do has to have a reason. Sometimes it's nice to sit back and let the natural flow of life take us.

JR I have a relatively large space and was wondering what would you guys recommend, Moog Phaser, sibling, or whet stone. I don't see any used sibling phasers so lets assume that they sit at their MSRP 195. I can usually find the moog phaser used for 200ish and same goes for the whetstone.
Infanem Compact Faye Sing (two Doom Room broskies have them, and I'll have one when I can afford it) or Subdecay Quasar DLX (I have this one. It's expensive, but it's worth it if you're a tweaker like me).
samzadgan wrote:so I got the DLS yesterday, i haven't run it through the Sarcophagus yet (still on its way) but tried it out with the Big Muff...boosting the muff and the other way...it sounds awesome with the muff feeding into it. It basically takes the fuzz from the muff and adds mids to it, so you don't get that super compressed sound of the muff. It all lacks a good bottom end, but i guess that will come when i get my BAT pedal. But so far so good!
Glad you're liking it. Usually Catalinbread pedals don't have that much low-end compared to a Dunwich or Black Arts, but their Ampeg and Hiwatt clones I've tried had loads of bass.
nightterrors wrote:I talked to Emperor about it before... They said they don't make 415's often and would rather do two 215's.
I've looked at the EA 810's and 415's... The 810 is 2,800 watts, the 415 is 1,600 or 1,800 depending if you want Delta 15A's (400 watts) or Kappa 15A's (450 watts)
That's INSANE.
I can honestly say I've never played through an Ampeg 810... I've had the Ampeg V4 half stack. That's about it.
I've never heard of Mammoth or Olde Crow! I'll have to check them out.
I almost got my hands on TWO 70's Marshall 4x15's locally. Didn't work out, it was with a Marshall Major too.
Also check out HEX cabs.

I hear ya. I dig it, though.
My Ditto Looper arrived. I'll post a review in a little while. Here's a hipster pic for the moment:

I bought it from DeathMonkey and I absolutely love it as it plays and sounds perfect for what I was looking for, but I have to near max out my only credit card to get caught up on bills since alot of companies started pulling some bullshit after these new law changes that went into effect January 1st. I'm going to have to sell my backup P-bass as well, I just can't decide which one is my main and which one is my backup.
