Okay, I have a marshall AVT2000 (please withhold any negative comments about the amp
) and i enjoy messing about with the effects... The "modulation" effect sounds amazing on a particular riff when i use my fuzz....
So, my question, any ideas what its supposed to be? Modulation is a rather vague term... It says in the online manual that its a slow chorus or something, but id like to be able to use this sound when/if i upgrade for gigs. All replies appreciated

Not quite sure what you're asking.... Do you want to know how to recreate this sound with other equipment/pedals if you want to use a different amp?

You say it's based on a slow chorus. Sooooo, I would recommend a chorus with a rate knob. There's a lot of choruses out there. Start checkin' out some youtube demos.

wait...ok after reading this over a few times I think I got it. you wanna know what the modulation setting on your avt actually is, right? well, ok, it says slow chorus in the manual, so im gonna hazzard a guess that it's probably a slow chorus

The manual says slow chorus like effect similar to a rotating speaker. You could try a rotating speaker effect

I had a grind kinda band years back and borrowed the AVT for a show and loved it. Preferred it for that band over my Sovtek Mig50. Most things have their place.

I got mines for the one mildly good gig ive played. It was going dirty cheap, I was originally going to get a keeley twilight modded mt2 (This was my thrash metal days.... which wasnt that long ago...) And instead my dad got me the avt. One of those moments where life goes ludicrously better than expected
But yeah, i do really like it, really good for bedroom practice but got plenty in reserve for when i finally get gigging.
well, provided i dont get pulled into the mood for buying a new amp .............

If you've got clips of what the modulation sounds like, that would help.
