Which Devi Ever pedals work in combo w/ guitar volume knob?

Post by clackclack »

Hi all

My Devi Ever TP is my staple fuzz and I love the fact that there are a lot of different tones to be had from dialling back the guitar volume. I'm wondering which other Devi Ever fuzzes work this way, and what exactly it is about a fuzz circuit that allows this to happen. Is it the difference between silicon and germanium? I have a Shin-ei FY-2 and adjusting the guitar volume has virtually no effect on the actual tonality. I'm interested in the Devi Ever Hyperion and the Aenima but not sure if they do work in this way. Also, does the DBA Interstellar Overdriver work in combination with the guitar volume?

Thanks!

I had an old VFM (the one with the noise switch). It worked great with the volume knob of my guitar.

The bit, beautiful disaster, Vfm, and disaster all sounded different rolling the volume down. It jut changes the voltage going into the signal so some gate out others become less saturated. Some older circuits didn't have this in mind when making them so they may be to gated. I think that's what it is.

If you turn up the intensity on the vfm/sm you can adjuct the guitar volume to go from muffy to scramled. The aenima is definitely reactive do your volume knob in the same way the Torns Peaker is. The Truly Beautiful Disaster or Disaster fuzz... Destructo Noctavia. The Hyperion can be reactive in the same way the sm and vfm are. The bit.

Damn near any of them that aren't ridiculously gated.

The interstellar Overdriver is just like two volume knobs on both sides of the gain (I think). So it would work

Yeah the Hyperion like señor pumpkinpieces mentioned, I get a lot of variety out of that little two knobber. One of my fav fuzzes.
