I got tired of writing it out and I thought most people would be familiar with the abbreviation.

It's kind of like a joke that was never funny in the first place, but has now been beat to death. For some reason, though, it's still sort of amusing.

(Sorry, I was responding, but typing slowly.)

in the same way that you musnt try to remove the helmet of a motorbike crash victim, or musnt try to remove an arrow or knife or spear that it is embedded in you, you must never stop saying TWSS - it could be fatal

so, to help you out .... does anyone have a spear stuck in them right now?

Don't they all?

SRSLY, there's not much love for JHS (which, honestly, makes me think "John Hornby Skewes" every time) on here.

It's certainly a valid question, I'm just not sure this is the appropriate forum to be asking it on. Old Supro amps sound great and there's nothing wrong with chasing those tones. The Mini is gaining a more mainstream following too. So, I guess it's a fair comparison. It's just that everyone on here is biased and is gonna say "Mini". Nothing wrong with that either. You gotta stand behind your values.

Yeah, JHS always has bad vibe when come into threads.. I too don't like them for some reason, but fuck! That superbolt is interesting nonetheless. I just tend to try another pedals rather than getting the same ones I've had owned before (mini), preferably with better sounds (subjective) and/or features. Thousands of toys are available now, Life's too short to be faithful to one pedal

Yeah, synthezatory, I get where you're coming from. I'm always looking out for pedals that do similar things to ones I have, but better.

The SuperBolt is interesting. Hopefully you'll be able to find a builder who's making a pedal that sounds close, but with less stigma attached.

On a positive note, while searching for SuperBolt demos, I came across this:

A pleasant listening experience. Can't really discern the sound of the individual pedals amidst all that ambience, but sure sounds nice.

ilf has had the biggest boner for ss/bs since first full tafm run.
know why?
it's not just because Bri is such a sexy man of man, it's also partially cause his pedals are beyond fantastic.
I've got a full sized fuck and I can honestly say it's one of the few pedals that I don't think I'll get tired of. Granted the two aren't exactly the same, but as I understand it, they're pretty much the same fucking thing aside from the bias/crackle jank.

so with that said, get the mini, or be a big boy and get a fuck.
or get the jhs but be prepared to hate yourself when you eventually get to play with a mini or fuck.

Brian? Is that you? Haha..

Yeah, I know it's been questioned for numerous times, but how's the mini compared to the fuck? (here we go again)

Yeah, those demos of the SuperBolt sound good, but I'm starting to wonder if Casavettes doesn't want every single pedal that comes out.
