I love me some Eagle Twin. Sludge/doom/jazz/blues? Yes Please.

Gentry is a bad dude! You ever get into the iceburn/iceburn collective stuff he did before Eagle Twin?

I've listened to a fair amount of it. I like it for the most part. It's a blast of 90's riffs and tones! and I mean that in a good way.

I HATED Iceburn all through the 90s but in like the last year have started to appreciate it. It was weird.

Portal are incredible. Pretty sure I've told this story on here but a while ago my shitty band got to play a show that was with Portal and Absu. My wife absolutely LOVES Portal, and she got hammered drinking most our rider and stood up the front heckling them about their costumes. She's the most tiny, delicate, non-metal looking person ever. It was awesome.

I saw iceburn a few times in the 90s. They were always rather inspirational to me. The split with engine kid was terrific and I was really getting into jazz when the did polar bear suite so all the horns really got me going.

In the 90s I was pretty close minded, like, mostly ebullition and dischord type hardcore so Eagle Twin just didn't fly. Thought it was pretentious hippie shit. Kinda dig it now.

Knew it! Haha. I wasn't at the Absu gig but I recall a mate telling me about it. Caught Portal at Marduk the other week. Blew my ears off.
