boosting a Monarch

Post by Mammoth863 »

I currently boost my E.D. Monarch with a BBE Boosta Grande. I'd like to replace the BBE with a EXH LPB-1 nano boost and go back to using the BBE for solos. My question is will the nano boost work in this application?

Any sort of clean boost will work to boost the Monarch!

I decided to boost my solos with a Modtone mini mod delay. @ uck- seriously? Would that work?

Don't know why it wouldn't - I've used it to boost a Rangemaster. (spoiler alert: :!!!: )

I use a Lutherdrive to boost mine, you get some nice "tight" sounding tones, but still big and a bit wooly. Think Down.

I tried the nanoboost last year and found it to change my tone in a bad way and add noise even when off. The Black Eye boost seems to be a better option for making something "more louder" after drive, or to blast the front end of a drive with the right amount of colorless signal to achieve the desired effect.

Nano LPB-1 is really noisy and cut some bass.
I never tried it before the Monarch i had but it LPB-1 works fine for pushing dirtboxes over the top.

Hmmmmmmmm....this sounds like genius to me, and if I weren't so excited to try this, might be pissed that I didn't think to do it earlier.
Special low-frequency version.
