Damn, this is a good idea. It would be perfect for really small gigs. You can just bring a One-Spot and the one pedal (plus a tuner). You won't really need a board. When I have enough money to buy a few DIY projects, I might give this a shot.skullservant wrote:hahahha
Awesome!
When it comes back I'm actually going to be rehousing it along with a few other of my pedals into a giant multi-drive type deal.
Afterlife Compressor -> Rangemaster -> Madbean Egghead -> Super Collider all in one box. I figure it's less to lug around that way, and I'm going to leave all the jacks so that I can patch stuff into the chain as well
I like the sound of this.new05002 wrote:The delay part is just a single PT2399, uses a TapTation chip for tap tempo and modulation. Active tone control, which is treble cut or boost for dark or bright delay sounds. Also has an output boost which works in conjuction with the input compressor that allows you to smooth out the input signal and decrease its volume into the delay part for better mixing. All runs on 18V

Fucking nice, Marlon. We'd have enough for a UK meet-up, then. I wish you all the best with it. I'm not in the UK, but if you need a hand with anything just let me know.Droneforbreakfast wrote:yeah. in about 1 and a half or two months, if everything goes according to plan. which it should, really.

I'm playing a small gig with my fiance in late April after we get hitched and I'm just going to bring that pedal and my TimeFactor and a looper. She's going to do noise stuff on top!

UK meet up would be cool, but would hazard a guess that i might be too old to hang out with y'all.
Brighton is cool man...been there a couple of times, nice pubs and restaurants and there is always GAK if you want to spend a few hours in a guitar shop!

I'm building my small board for just such occasions. By the way, it's very romantic to play a gig together. It's a dream for me.skullservant wrote:Do it dude!

That sounds like a plan man! And yeah, it's fucking awesome that she plays out with me sometimes. We've done about 4 sets together so far. Really spaced out noise soundscapes. This time It's going to be drone/noise. It's a REALLY awesome bonding experience. For the past 4 shows we set up our electronics leading to one mixer that we share, facing each other. It's unpredictable, but as such a really awesome experiment every timeAngryGoldfish wrote:I'm building my small board for just such occasions. By the way, it's very romantic to play a gig together. Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
The shows I've been playing recently have mostly been on my own, and they're also unpredictable. I usually just have an idea on what to play based on the audience and then just jam for as long as the audience's attention is mine. I'll have to find a way to record it some time and post it. It's quite random and trippy, but I still heavy it up every now and again. The audience is usually old men and women who grew on AC/DC, so I have to use fuzz sparingly.skullservant wrote:That sounds like a plan man! I kinda prefer it to the last album.
Yeah I am really digging this song. I dig the last album. It grew on me the more I listened to it. This is suppose to be a darker album so I have high hopes.

I dig the last album as well, but this one (well this song) definitely has a darker more brooding feeling to it that fits their sound and writing alot better IMO.crohny wrote:Yeah I am really digging this song. II can agree with that for the most part. I don't believe they have one specific sound considering almost all of their albums are different in a bunch of ways. They write awesome darker stuff though.
