I wanted a highly portable and compact set up to record and create music with and the iPad seems absolutely perfect. (keep in my mind I'm still in the early stages of falling in love with this thing so I can't really see its flaws yet) This is the first recording I made with Meteor and Audiobus using the Fingerlabs DM-1 and SAMPLR. Unbelievably fun programs. If you search the gear forum for ipad, a thread should come up of peeps discussing their favorite music apps.

To the best of my knowledge the Soundcloud widget/player is made using Flash. Flash is not supported on the iPad, iPhone, basically any iDevice. Really a pain in the ass.
There's also an HTML5 option that does work on iPad but it is not yet supported by ILF.
