Tried the "less is more" approach for years and while it did simplify things, it also limited my tonal range. I'm ready to incorporate more effects into my rig and I need them for the bands/projects I'm currently playing in. For some gigs, I use my pod HD500 into a power amp and cab and that's a simple way to get most of the sounds I'm after, but I want to be able to pull that off with a sweet pedalboard.
A looper or switching system with a buffer is the only method that makes sense at this point. I love the pureness of feel and tone when plugged straight into my amp, so I need to be as close to that quality of signal as possible. I also hate tap-dancing so I need the switcher! I have a tech now and guys to help me carry/load gear, so that's not a problem. Thanks for all your input guys!

Re: What switchers/loopers are you guys using?
Anyone have any suggestions for a pedal switcher that can not only send signal to two amps, but could send different pedals to each? I'm looking at the Moen GC9, Cusack pedalboard tamer, Octaswitch, Decibel Eleven Pedal Palette, GCX Voodoo Lab, but I cannot determine if any of these can perform this function.
Example, can this be achieved with one stomp:
Amp A: OD, Delay, Trem
Amp B: Fuzz
or
AMP A: Octave Multiplexer, Fuzz
Amp B: bypassed
or
AMP A: Fuzz
AMP B: no pedals, just amp
I'm new to posting on the forum, so hello! I have definitely used it as a resource many times, glad to finally be taking part. I play guitar for the band Jews and Catholics in Winston Salem, NC. If you have a second check us out, thanks!

I recently got a Disaster Area Amps DPC-5 to also control my timeline. I'm really liking it, a bunch of different modes and uses.

Gomez get in touch with Road Rage. They're customer service is great and their custom stuff isn't that expensive.
Hah, that's pretty much the content of all my posts on loopers.

Voodoo Labs Amp Selector
http://www.voodoolab.com/ampselector.htm
I can plug either into one input and split my signal into 4 paths (all with buffers and volume controls), or plug into both inputs and split both signals into 2 different paths. Soft click switches and liftable grounds for each channel make this thing awesome.

Here's a link to the switcher/looper that Kim Thayil from Soundgarden uses. Has a buffer, looks pretty rad. Didn't look up the price. http://www.providence-ltd.com/products/ ... /pec2.html

Whoah! Thats $1000 on ebay, so I guess I'll keep looking. Appreciate the lead though! There must be a pedal switcher w/ amp switcher for $500 or less, or maybe there is something that makes it difficult for them to pull off - seems like if it were possible that Moen/CarlMartin etc would advertise it - surely many people have a dual amp/seperate effects situation.

Maybe I'm misinterpreting what you want, but I'm sure road rage could do a custom for under a hundred that will do what you want.

I'll send them a message - I thought Road Rage don't do programmable though? I have a few pedals that I need to be in a few different chains, not tied to just one chosen loop.

Hmm... Yeah they don't do programmable. Didn't realise you needed certain pedals in both chains. It's a bit complicated but you can do it mechanically. Dunno if they could do it but ask!
