Who can say?
I didn't mean to be 'Doubting Daniel', sorry.
If you're Doubting Daniel, does that mean I'm Jesus H. Appleby?

about the black forest - i agree, but i was thinking you could boost the pharaoh with the black forest and you'd have a high gain pharaoh (LSTR-ish) instead of getting the sarc and having one pedal for low volumes one for high volumes you could have 2 different peddles and just boost the pharoah for low volume.
just a thought.
I must admit that I'm not a stacking fan. Even modulation and delay are rarely used with dirt. Reverb and dirt are the only two I'd stack regularly. Sometimes I boost my Fuck OD with a Pharaoh, or boost the Pharaoh with a Rangemaster type of thing, but I'd rather just crank the shit out of one pedal and be done with it, ya know? It's just me. I recognize a lot of you folks with awesome tones love to stack.

I like stacking an OCD into an Elements for my lead lines or solo tones. It helps tighten up the tone and increase note clarity as well as helping my tone cut through. I rarely stack other then that. Oh and i pretty much always have some kind of delay stacked on top of that.

I'm just gonna run the OR120 a tiny bit more cranked, and play with the volume knob on my guitar. Gain staging fuzzes as proven a bit too difficult. I've never flipped a pedal as fast as I have fuzz/dist pedals.
that's the way to go. any great fuzz tone is in the guitar's volume knob, as long as you have a proper setup to use it the way you want.
Personally I'm a big fan of stacking. Other than my Elements which I almost always use as a standalone, I love stacking my Dirty Little Secret MkII with different fuzzes and works extremely well for doomy stuff and its ilk.
I run the Pharaoh, Oath, Ritual, Dirt Transmitter, or HM-2 (oh my god the sound with this one) into the DLS like it's a dirtied up amp and it takes those pedals soooo well.
This made me remember how many dirt pedals I have and crap that's a lot.
I'm from Chicago born and semi-raised(aside from some places here and there).
I wanted to try the OCD but I'm tired of trying to stack when the overdrive tone I want is practically in the Orange, it just needs to be boosted out with slight gain to cut through. If anything I might just get one of those tiny little volume boosts somewhere along the ling but for now. I'm gonna stop spending so much money on figuring out a pedal to stack with my rat and do what I should be doing, saving up for more speakers. Moar spakrsssss

I'm going to pick up one of the new DLS MKIII pedals for this very reason. Plus, Super Bass mode ftw!

Try and Rangemaster/Treble booster. They sound excellent for low gain Doom when boosting a big amp.

Another thing I would just build but I know Darren would say a Naga Viper is a good non-ge Si clone of it. To make one you need to have a bunch of Ge PNPs in stock and test them, along with including trimmers or biasing to get proper operation out of it.
Germanium always scared me just because of the whole temperature dependant thing. I'm going to take a quick look at the naga viper. Maybe I can find some willing to trade my muff for that thing.

the NV is a Si clone and you could easily build 1. Its got a few more tweaks on it then a normal RM
Stacking is totally where it is at IMO. I love running the Black Forest with fairly low gain into a russian muff with also semi low gain. Adds a special something that you dont get out of one pedal.
