Where to submit music for review/airplay

Post by andtheLiquidmen »

Hey guize. My band is finishing up a split with a friend's band, and I'm in the final stretches of finishing my first full-length. The only problem: I don't have a band, neither does my friend. They're both bedroom projects, thus we have no "real" way to get exposure. My music is an instrumental blend of prog, psychedelic, surf, metal, and other crap, and his is REALLY intense/maniacal electronic music that sounds like it's laughing at you.

Long story short: Do any of you kind people know of anywhere that would be a good place to send tunes of this sort? Seeing as there's a bunch of really great bands/music on here, I'd like to use this thread as a general where-to-send-your-music-to list for all of us. :poke:

If you know any blogs that post about stuff in the same vein as what you do, just email them. Back when I had one, I think I had 3 actual labels sending me stuff and the majority was just people who were like "Hey, I like your blog and you'd probably like this!"

That's the problem - I don't really know too many blogs  Aside from basic Googling, I haven't the faintest where to start, which is why I started this thread in the first place. Most of the blogs that I did know (and sent previous releases to) have since shut down or become inactive.
