Rocktek Flangers

Post by WeHuntKings »

Are they any good? I can only find a few demos...someone is offering me one in a trade, and I'd like to have a flanger quite badly.

I've never played a Rocktek flanger. They're cheap. That's not to say they'll sound bad, some of my favorite flangers are cheapies. It depends on what you're looking for in a flanger. If you're getting it cheap enough in trade, I don't see why you shouldn't take it.

I have no experience with that specific flanger. But i find cheap flangers do enough for what I need out of a flange, super slow flanges for heaviez and super quick for fuzzy shreds,
Fuzz, reverb, delay.

the RockTRON flanger is pretty good. its a little chorus-y and a scooch subtle, but it goes hella slow and fast

Funnily enough, I've got a RockTek flanger on my board and it's actually really quite nice! I only bought it because it was a fiver in the bargain bin at my local music shop and I intended to circuit bend it, but I found a use for it right away near enough. Makes a nice LOUD dub-siren in a feedback loop too!

I love how on this forum if you ask about a pedal someone will tell you what it does in a feedback loop without being asked, that's why I stick around.

I don't know anything about rocktek flangers so uhhhhh.... I do generally enjoy cheap flangers though so I'd check it out.
