El Cap that creates like a wash type of sound into my SMMWH using the reverse delay. I like that. Use my Memory Boy for slapback style delay every so often. So many flavors of delay to dial in. Love it.
I use the analog delay built into my keyboard set right before its about to oscillate. Makes for nice industrial sounding swells. Sounds nice before some fuzzes. With guitar I always end up playing between the repeats like its challanging me to a dualing banjos kinda thing. But in song playing, I only use subtle delay only with reverb. I don't like delay on its own with guitar.

^this lately I've tended to use delay times under 50ms to turn delays into filters/phaser/flange/chorus/slapback/reverb/bitcrushers etc
I've started falling in love with my timefactor but only for rhythmic dual tape delays. Is there something else out there that will give a similar effect? I don't use most of the modes on the modfactor
i don't really have access to recording stuff atm but basically just something with dual delays and a lot of parameters. I know the timeline can do it and a lot more but i'm not sure what other options there are
Strymon El Capistan can do the classic quarter+dotted eight multihead sound
i'm doing that with standalone no-tap tempo delays... it's a pain in the ass, but i love it and part of the magic is in the searching for the right settings for me
