Had my eye on the Human Fly for awhile but never pulled the trigger. Pretty pricey, but looks great. I had a Big Mudd Triangle V that was pretty sweet, and probably my second favorite Muff I've played...
My guitarist uses a Fuzz Munchkin by Tyms and he rates it very highly. The store is local to me and always has a bunch of cool gear. Tim plays locally and is very popular with a bunch of bands. He's a good guy who really knows his stuff.
I've got the Fuzz Munchkin and the Ram's Head Big Mudd. I gotta say, they are two of the best sounding muffs I have ever used. The RHBM is (imho) the perfect representation of what a muff from that era should like. The Fuzz Munchkin is really different. It's a little bigger sounding than the Ram's Head, and there is a weird clarity it possesses as well. Tim's description may sound cheesy, but once you play it you quickly realize that's the only way to describe it.
Tym is forever backed. The guy rules and builds really cool stuff almost completely by hand; down to hand rolling and riveting his own enclosures. I just wish there was like, three of him so he had time to build more cool stuff.
I'd like to get a few of his pedals, but a bit out of my price range. He also builds a decent mosrite clone guitar too. Well he did. Not sure if he still does them. Think he just concentrates more on the pedals now.
