also, OOF. i wouldn't go so far as to say i have OCD. it's not crippling or anything. i DO get obsessive about some stuff though. i've ordered like 60 BluRay in the last week or two. maybe half new stuff i didna own on dvd, the other half replacing favorites.

i didna get BluRays when they first came out, but when i got a bigger tv (WOOOO 60 INCHER) dvd's look a'ight. BluRays are SO DAMN GOOD.

also, never watched Samurai Champloo all the way through. doing that now. LOVE BEBOP WITH SWORDS.

I've heard more than once that BluRay is wasted on anything smaller than a 40" HD screen.

yahp. i have a 32" at work. if you want to be an ass about you could probably say there's a SLIGHT difference. but i'd have to search hard to see it with an upscaled dvd and br at that size. when it's paused is the only major difference. line artifacts get introduced on dvds.

01) there needs to be a good, comfy acronym/shortening of BluRay. BR is... not that good.

02) yay! they redid the subs for District B13 on the B13/D13u bluray set. it just flows better and little things like a character calling himself Fantomas on the dvd getting translated to Phantom Man but on the bluray they leave it as Fantomas..... HELPS.

and replaced a bunch of the hand drawn stuff with CGI.

fuck. THAT. they on purpose meshed CG and hand drawn stuff and there were very purpose based decisions on what parts were what in the original.
