You can run all 3 inputs in parallel and mix them or you can cascade the bright and dark into the EF86 for a lot more gain. The tone stack is a modded Marshall BMT but with a 2nd mids control all along with a pre phase inverter master. The phase inverter is right out of a Ampeg V4.

Why would it ever be appropriate to try and go back on stage after another band has already started playing? That is really disrespectful and it hurts the performance because you now are distracted by some weirdo. Don't worry you handled it right.

Thanks Jason! The guy's lucky I didn't go with the Parker method of dealing with stage trespassers. Lil guy wouldn't have stood a chance.

supercollider is fucking awesome. it's a high gain monster, but as long as that's what you want you will probably love it. great fucking pedal.

Damn I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall for that! I think we might have found the video footage of me telling the dude off, I will see if we can get it posted online sometime today

Agreed on the supercollider, I'm sad I had to let my 2nd one go, but the need for bass speakers outweighed my need for the supercollider unfortunately.

Thanks man. I'm about to knock cab #2 out in a few. Then try to troubleshoot the guitar problem. I fixed everything but the neck pickup volume pot not rolling off like it is supposed to. Also, I need to swap caps too. The .047 caps that the Seymour Duncan wiring diagram recommended are way too dark. I'm gonna go back to the stock Gibson caps. I think they are .022.

crohny wrote:Just throwing this out there, but don't leave the iron on the pots for more than a few seconds really. I found out the hard way I how easy it is ot fuck up brand new pots.

I don't think it is the pot, I think it is something with the pickup itself. It might be fucked up since it came out of a guitar I broke during a show a few years ago.

Ancient Astronaught wrote:DUDE!!! That cab came out amazingly!!!!!!!! I was thinking of doing the same thing with my new 2x15 but the blue vox grill cloth is kinda growing on me. That's weird with the pots though, I've definitely wired switches upside down and pots in the wrong place but I've never had one do what your describing with the half volume not full off problem. Did you use a schematic to do all the wiring?

Thanks man. I like it a lot better too. I was originally gonna get them like this but right before I put in my order I saw that Al's cabs were the same way so I switched it to the black and silver. I like that combo, but I just can't stand looking at the fucked up job that they did on it. I mean, its like they don't have a set way to do it and just slapped it on there blindfolded or something. I did notice that the grill cloth on the farst cabs I ordered was put on really neat and the one I just replaced had stapled bunched up in one area and a few in other places. Definitely not as neat as the ones I got a few years ago.

Damn, that looks fantastic now. Way better than before.

Thanks, can't wait to get the other done and stacked up.

Ancient Astronaught wrote:Speaking of shows, we played out on Sunday night and it was one of the best shows we've done as a band. But this one dude... The bassist of the horribly inexperienced Jam band before us, disappeared after their set and took over 10 minutes to get his gear off stage and we had to push him to do so. And because he slacked he apparently left his jacket on stage, so in the middle of one of our songs he sneaks up on stage next to me to grab his jacket then stands up and knocks my bass with his head and tries to tell me "I'm sorry dude", and I'm not sure if my reaction was appropriate but I felt it necessary, but I told him "Don't fucking apologize, get the fuck off the stage!". He got this wide eyed look of, holy shit I just realized what I did and scuttled off the stage. So I figure the ordeal is over, no biggie. But I was wrong, he comes back during a sample interlude 2 songs later and ask's me while I'm in my stage zone if I see a stratocaster gig bag on stage... So I lean over and tell him "Now is not the fucking time, you should have handled that before we went on" and I think it finally sunk in, that either I was a grade A asshole or he was an A+ dumbass. Do you guys think that my responses were appropriate? and have you guys ever had similar things happen while your on stage playing?

Fuck that asshole.

Dude will flake out on practices and then all your gear will go missing.

I lost it. I turned round and said "WOULD YOU EVER SHUT UP!?" I immediately regretted it. The lads just got up and walked out. I should have been more patient and simply 'shhh'ed them, but I lost my temper. It happens, I keep telling myself. It helps ease my conscience.

Yeah I'm not sure what's up with Emperor, sometimes their cabs are on point, other times it seems they partied too much the night before. :idk: Looking inside my cabs you can see some rough cuts and stuff on interior bracing, wonky screws, etc. But they sure as hell are solid and sound good, so i'm not complaining too much. When you took yours apart was the grill cloth stapled to the exterior cab shell with the baffle placed behind it or was it stapled to the outer edges of the baffle? I'm pondering redoing the grill cloth on my 2x15... When i swapped the speakers I didn't notice that the bracket ring ont he speakers was shallower and when i put everything back together and turned it around the bolts were poking through the grill cloth and I had no more time before our show  It's all ready in rough shape so I might not worry about the grill cloth and just get shorter bolts and go back in there and swap em out.

Oh I thought about it, with out lube while listening to cattle decap and asking him if he knew how long the prison sentence was for forced entry.

Quick Doom Spam! Just received my "Deluxe" Badascan from Mark so I'm putting my original Doom Room proto up for grabs. It's the smaller version in a sparkle black finish.

$115 shipped if anyone is interested.

skullservant wrote:Been on too tight of a budget to buy anything anymore. Stumbled upon the V2 Super Collider schematic and modded it to V3 specs AND made the diode toggle 3 way so the middle position is no diodes. It's definitely throwing my Tall Font off the board... I totally respect EA for coming up with this and as a disclaimer for independent builders such as EA I won't be selling this one!

Badass skully! I have the Beast with the "choke" and "roar" oscillation footswitch options and I love that thing, totally different than any other muff I own. I'm guessing it's the v3 SC used in the Beast as it's a recent model. What's the difference when compared to v2 specs anyway?

I think you'll dig it, totally different than a Pharaoh, more of a high gain monster but plenty of tone variation in there.

As for muffs in general, my goal in the end is to own a bunch that excel in completely different aspects cuz it's impossible for me to find an end-all-be-all-style muff circuit.
I'm pretty happy with these here, cover a wide array of muff tonez:

Image

Pharaoh rules hard obviously and is my favorite, hands down. Beast for the higher gain heavies, Big Green for the nasty-ish heavies, Badascan Deluxe for a HUGE plethora of sounds:

Thanks duder :3

The only difference is the diode selector to be honest!

I see, thanks! That no diodes setting would rule on there, just a matter of adding a 3-way toggle in place of the standard 2-way?
