Foot controller for Minitaur

Post by vallaton »

So, I have a Minitaur (rev2) on it's way to me. :omg:
How can I turn this thing into a pseudo-Taurus? I know Al Cisneros uses a Roland PK-6, but I'd like to get something that doesn't bankrupt me. Would love to get something similar in it's taurusness though.
Also any other tips and tricks on the Minitaur are also appreciated!

One day I'll spring for one of these and a Minitaur and let my inner 12-year-old Rush geek emerge.

I'd have to guess this pic is from an OM show, as the picture has that weird sitar synth box as well.

Yeah, that seems interesting and cheap enough! Just a bit weirded out by the MIDI-looks it has, hah.

Is there even a current manufacture CV-based bass pedal setup out there? I would imagine even the full size Taurus setup Moog makes uses MIDI based pedals. If you mean 80's aesthetics rather than 70's aesthetics, yes, a little unfortunate. Find wood-grain wall paper to redo the housing, maybe?

Besides cheapness, the 12 step is pretty damned compact. Handy if you don't want another thing on the floor as big as your pedalboard, which means more room left for MOAR FUZZ!

Yeah, I mean the aesthetics. But this is tempting nevertheless.

^ i think he is referring to the black box above the red pedals, next to the wah.

its an electronic shruti box. capable of alot of indian style music/instruments. mostly used for creating drones.
