BILF II: Poll I

Post by Haki »

Doing two polls because more is always better and it's a great excuse to pit the top 2-3 from each poll against each other for even more polls.

Good stuff all round, but I went with 7 in the end! I think it was the awesome reverby looping that did it for me, although I also like the neatness and obviously sick pedz. I could just really see myself having a great time with that one (not that that isn't true for the rest). Honourable mention to #3 for making lovely sounds with just 3 pedals.

I love the simplicity of Board 3. I've seen and heard board 5 played @ ILFNEM, it's awesome! Great entries this year. I do think the audio thing is a great idea but it also kept a lot of people from being able to enter.

True. Still, I really like the idea, perhaps for the next one we could have separate sound and no sound polls. :idk: Not really sure how it would make sense, but the more the merrier and the sound thing did seem to put some people off.

Lots of good one's here, but I had to go with Skully. I love dem sounds. Do you have a bass string doubling your fifth string an octave down?

BCBC, you're making me want a TGD now. Damn you.
What did you have going on in the second snippet of your clips? Sounded killer.

Nope! It's B standard tuning and 2 octaves down pitch shifting on the ring thing. I send the comp through to get bass clank!

So many cool pedals on everyone's boards, but someone must be king and #6 tickles me just the right way :excellent:

I really enjoyed #3's soundclip/song/thing so I voted for that one but nice boards all around!

That was an option for this year, even had a name for it (BILF II Muted). It was hidden in the NSFW tag in the OP, which could mean everyone is just browsing ILF from work and not opening those tags as there wasn't much mention of it and no pic only entries.

I think having the sounds is crucial. Takes it from being a beauty pageant to an individual expression of sound.
