I wish there were some decent racing games on PC.
Forza 2 was super fun, rocking faces with my one-more-point-and-it-will-be-C-class GTO. Murdered people on the starting line and after turns, bumped into em to keep their speed down when they were pulling away on straights. Good times.

Finally picked up a PS3 for the first time last month. I've only been watching Blu-Rays and using it as a platform for Netflix in my bedroom (X-Men and Spiderman cartoon sessions ftw), but I also bought it to play the Uncharted series. Those games look awesome and seem to have aged rather well, unlike Assassin's Creed.

In a slightly unrelated note, has anyone experienced graininess when playing Blu-Rays. This is not what I remember seeing at my friend's house when we watched Toy Story 3 and Clerks II. It was way sharper and the contrast in the colours was stronger. I've tweaked around with the settings a little, but I can't get it right. Is this normal?

Not a new game at all, but I'm excited about the first Mass Effect coming out on PS3 having played and loved the second and third installments. I like being behind on games though, can just pick em up for dirt cheap!

Same. I've never really bought games upon release, even the most recent Batman. They're overpriced and, if you're on the PC, sometimes buggy. I'd rather wait for all the patches and mods to come out, and for the online community to grow.

Finally beat Red Dead Redemption! The real ending is soooooooo good. Now I'm just gonna go around and rob banks and shit. Hoping for a couple of new games for Christmas (Dishonored and Assassins Creed 3). Also have Fable 3 and Forza 4 to get into. And I kinda want to start playing the Walking Dead game.

Been playing a ton of Assassins Creed 3 - slow start but engaging story. The game seems less fun or action oriented than in the Ezio AC games, but I'm going to turn that into a positive and say it's because it's a different time with a different character.

Started Darksiders as well. Love the art (Joe Mad was one of my favorite comic book artists back in my comic book geekery days) and it's pretty good mindless fun, which is always nice.

i was overall disappointed in AC3 in comparison to the 2 trilogy.

playing hitman: absolution now, just occasionally, glad i'm not addicted to it. it's pretty badass per usual though. and freaking tough...

I really enjoyed watching Far Cry 3, it's a really cool game with a cool premise/story and one of the coolest badguys ever. (Vaas, dude should get a video game oscar for sure)

My brolo (HA! The League) raved about Far Cry 3. I may have to give it a shot when/if I ever catch up on my ever expanding backlog of games.

Did you give Far Cry 3 a shot yet, Trey? Interesting tidbit about the game, and I think I'm right about this, you know the pedals called Sonic Crayon, the designer is named cloudscapes on forums? He worked on the game, in Montreal, with UbiSoft... cool hey!

I've been watching lots of Dead Space 3, pretty cool game. I like the series, awesome premise, love the space religion mystery, and it's cool that the main guy is named Isaac Clarke.. same last name..

Looking forward to watching Aliens Colonial Marines this week! Very excited!

Another really cool game out recently is The Cave, anybody play that? Pretty funny and cool.

Haven't had a chance to check it out yet, but it's on my ever expanding list. I did play Assassin's Creed 3 - not sure how I feel about it. But I have been playing the Walking Dead game and holy balls it's all sorts of entertaining.

just read about far cry 3, definitely wanna check that out. for now though going back through hitman absolution trying to figure out challenges...

dead space 1 was freaking awesome, 2 blew IMO. haven't felt like trying 3 because of it.

I didn't think AC3 was that good but it's not really my style of game... same with Dishonoured... just not for me. I didn't like how Walking Dead isn't really a game, just a bunch of quick-time events, that's no fun! (my opinion is always purely as a viewer, not actually playing any of the games I talk about)

Dead Space 3 is ok, doesn't seem much different than 2 though...

So did anybody get into Aliens Colonial Marines?? It's ok.. it could have/should have been better... check out this hilarious review of it:
