I'm considering selling my Dream Crusher since I can get pretty much the same toanz from my Dirt Transmitter (even though I don't use them for the same things). Talk me into or out of this.

If there's something you're really gassing for that you can't approximate with your existing pedals, why not trade/sell the DC? Simple enough to cop the tones with the Dirt Transmitter, no? Dirt Transmitter has talked me out of many different fuzzes.

It was quite horrifying to read about all the tragedies that befell so many of you good Doom folks. I remember discussing this once last year, and it was difficult then. However, I think it's healthy to want to talk about it. I have friends who were disabled from the legs down as a result of car accidents, and who were broken emotionally and mentally as a result of it. They struggle to talk about it, even with friends and family members. It hurts their heart more than their physical body. That's the depressing part. Good people, but struggling.

On the vegan note, I went to have my hair tested for allergies by a popular Chinese clinic the other day, and the results came back. They stated that I could have a reaction to gluten, including wheat, oats, rye, and barley. So now I have to cut gluten out of my diet for the next three years before my system heals and I can gradually consume it again (in moderation). I also have to stop drinking alcohol, cut down on diary, and avoid yeast and caffeine. Animal dander, dust, and hay fever were also noted as severe reactions, but I knew that already.

This new diet is very difficult to maintain. It's not too bad when I'm at home, but there are very few alternatives to bread and pasta when out and about. I can basically eat poultry, meat, rice, potatoes, vegetables, fruit, nuts and spices. That might sound a lot, and it is, but it's only 40% of my diet. The rest is made up of pasta dishes, sandwiches, cereals, etc. It's going to be tough, but I hope to be strict enough where I can finally deal with my sinus issues, weight troubles and constant lack of energy. Only then would it be worth my while.

As far as the Orange Rockerverb 50, I'd say avoid it unless you've already played one and really dig it. It's not the right sound and feel for Doom and Stoner, IMO. It works, but it's too aggressive and tight. It's Oranges way of tapping into the modern market. I mean, Slipknot use them. Bands like Baroness and Converge also use them, but they have a very different guitar sound and vibe to the traditional Sludge music we're used to. As well, I found the Rockerverb to be quite finicky. It's not a refined machine with a balanced EQ response and gain structure. There are huge leaps in gain depending on where you have the knobs at, which makes for cumbersome tweaking sessions. The reverb is also a little bit crazy. That's just my 2c. I was very disappointed with the amp when I tried it. I was hoping for a higher gain version of a Matamp, but it's nothing like a GT120 or a GT1.

Also my girlfriend keeps vegan most of the time and I usually eat with her at home. Daiya cheese, yeah, doesn't quite taste the same as the real thing, but the flavor is excellent and it's the right texture when you melt it.

I've also been really proud of how creative I've made myself cook using tofu and vegetables, creating really hearty dishes.

My brother has been vegan for like 12 years now and constantly tries to get me to eat vegan cheeses. Don;t believe the hype, If you are a fat dude that loves cheese like me, you can tell the difference.

You can tell the difference, but it is still good. I love real cheese too, but after a while of being on this I'm used to it and really don't miss anything. I started eating vegan in Sept on my 34th birthday and by Jan 1st my weight had dropped from 250 to 218 and I felt a lot better. My cholesterol came down a shit ton too. All of that with a diet change, I think I might have ran once or twice during that time.

Killer! I actually love vegan eats. I live 10 minutes from Vegan treats- a vegan bakery.... Holy shit its good. I also Love seitan enough to make my own. I lived with my brother throughout college and we shared food 80% of the time, so i can eat the lifetsyle and really enjoy it... but man. I have yet to find a vegan cheese that doesn;t make me gag. the cheddar just seems to me like they took dorito powder and rolled it in play dough

The bassist in my old band is vegan and showed me all kinds of vegan foods that are good. I bought some Seitan a while back but I accidentally left it out and it went bad before we got to try it. There is a book called Happy Herbivore that has a ton of great recipes in it (tons of sweets) that are really healthy. Black Bean burgers FTW.

I got a ton of good vegan cookbook suggestions if you want them man, my GFs whole fam is vegan and I'm only vegetarian for now but I pretty much cook only vegan. Veganomicon is fucking amazing. Also, look into Butler Soy Curls, you can get them on amazon. Rehydrate them and they got the chicken texture down way better than seitan. I use them to make a pollo verde that will knock your fuckin socks off.

Well, i'm currently playing through an ENGL Screamer which is more Marshally voiced and is pretty tightly voiced. But I've noticed that a LPB-1 just loosens up everything gives it a fuzzier Doom sound, like an antitubescreamer. To be honest, I haven't been playing a whole lot of Stoner/Sludgey stuff but instead i've been playing a but of Blackgazey, Gothic Doom.

And yes, I would love a Dunwich
