Pulled the trigger and bought a Mig 50 today. It's beat to hell, but I got it for $225, so no complaints!
It sounds incredible. Channel two is ridiculously bright. It's absolutely insane how much it cuts. Channel one is a nice amount of dark (but not too much). It's really similar to the 50's DuKane PA head I use in the studio.
Definitely super happy with this sucker!

Killer price.

Y-splitter or use an A-B-Y box set to Y and you get the same effect as bridging a 4 input Marshall.

This belongs in the Confessions thread... way back when, I had a MIG 50 in my possession. It didn't pass a signal... so I sold it for $25. I thought it was dead. I was also an idiot.

Thank you all! Pics to come after I get it home from the studio for some cleaning. I'm thinking about rehousing it and making it look as good as it sounds.

I miss my mig50 and they are way too expensive now. That's a great deal for one. I always see them go for 500 and mine was 350 a decade ago. Best sounding head I've played.

I sold my MIG 60 not too long ago. Miss it sometimes, but I tripled my investment on it so I couldn't pass it up.

Here's a pic of the new Mig in all its beat up glory...(plus the DuKane 1u325).
I made the cabinet a couple months back...it's 1 inch yellow pine from an old barn with a half-closed back panel and Jensen ceramic speaker inside.
